In Uganda, the average student attends just 5.7 years of school, ranking the country 121st out of 150 globally, according to the United Nations. For many families, the financial strain is overwhelming—especially for 13- and 14-year-old girls, who are often married off to ease the burden.
At Liberty School, students receive a strong foundation through grades 1-7, but the journey shouldn’t stop there. Without financial support for high school, many of these bright, capable students are forced to end their education, limiting their future opportunities.
